We have shifted our tour style to a self-guided one. This means you, your family and friends get to watch the magic happen at your own pace and on your schedule. No reservations are necessary; if we’re open you can take the tour! We are currently open seven days a week. We have large windows looking into our production kitchens where you can watch our team members make all the delicious treats we sell in our stores. We have story boards that run along the tops of the windows which showcase how we make all our top-selling products. Of course, we are always making mouth-watering items elsewhere in the store: our signature Mackinac Island Fudge, Waffle Cones and Cups, Caramel for the "Perfect" Apple, Brittle and Caramel Corn, just to name a few. All of us here at Kilwins are happy to answer any questions you may have about our origins, what we’re currently making, and of course what our favorite Ice Cream flavor is!

From the moment you walk in the door, your senses will be enticed with the warm sweet aroma of Chocolate, Fudge, and freshly made Waffle Cones. We hand-craft a wide variety of confections right in our kitchen. Watch as our products are hand-crafted in the store right before your eyes. See creamy Mackinac Island Fudge being paddled the traditional way on marble tables. Listen to the gentle gong of a wooden paddle on a copper kettle as sweet Caramel Corn and Brittle are being hand-crafted. Watch as we hand-dip fresh apples in our original Caramel recipe, developed by Don Kilwin himself, for that perfect Caramel Apple. We also hand-dip a variety of treats in our decadently smooth and delicious Milk, Dark, or White Chocolate. Try a hand-dipped pretzel, cream-filled sponge cake, cookie, Marsh-Mallow or Krispie treat.
